Me Time

I love going to the spa, getting a massage or a facial, hanging out with friends, and just plain relaxing. In fact, this is what I would like to do for my bachelorette weekend! While this isn't something I get to do often due to cost, I figured the excuse of the wedding can push me to do this more often that I normally would for the time being.

The other day, after much research, I went to Breathe Spa in downtown Vancouver.

The place is gorgeous! Its a small, quaint spa, with friendly, knowledgeable staff. My aesthetician was Melissa and she was great! I've wanted to have a facial for a few months now and was hoping to have one done in Cyprus while we were away. Unfortunately due to all the health issues we had in our families this wasn't possible.

The experience was awesome, my face feels smooth and my skin looks bright and clean. Melissa recommended a facial every two months which seems doable. No one pushed too many products on me (have a read of Salt's funny account of her recent facial experience) which is also good.

How about you ladies? Do you enjoy such experiences or not your cup of tea?

Ahhhh I love spa days so much. I have my massages and a facial booked for T&C and I can't wait to get there so I can get them!

I'm so glad you enjoyed yourself and no one tried to sell you a boat load of stuff while you were there. It's your time to splurge on yourself! (I'm totally using the wedding as an excuse for this too.)

I've never had a spa day before, but I really want to!

We did a spa weekend for my sister's bachelorette and it was so fun. I am not doing the spa day but I have a personal aesthetician who does my waxings, facials and massages and we have all our appointments scheduled for pre-wedding prep right up until about 2 days before the big day. :)

Definitely treat yourself. I love them!

I've never actually done a spa day. I don't think going to the nail salon or the gym (what? Mine has a hot tub and a sauna!) counts :) Looks heavenly!

Oh so jealous! I know what you mean about pushy I hate it when sales people keep insisting you purchase things! I hate going to Macy's for this very reason! Glad you enjoyed your treat :)

My skin is sensitive so I don't do facials. But ooh, love a good backrub (Mr. Gadget does too!)
