Hair Accessories

So I have my veil picked out, I know what I want to do with my hair, and now I have a hair clip too!
I love the idea of fresh flowers in my hair for a late summer wedding. But I'm not sure how well they will last in the Cyprus heat. Even though we are getting married in late September, the temperatures can easily reach 95 degrees plus during the day! So I don't want to risk having wilted flowers in my hair on my wedding day. I therefore went on an internet scavenger hunt for a hair clip. I love orchids so I wanted something as close to the real thing as I could get.

I came across the site Flower Clips and found exactly what I was looking for! They have a huge selection of hair accessories so take a look ladies. Here's what I picked out.

They didn't ship to Canada, but I was able to mail them to my chocoholic friend, who brought it up with her this past weekend. The flowers are a good size, pretty sturdy, and look quite natural, which is what I wanted. Now all I need is another hair trial to try it all out together!

What hair accessories are you using?

Wow! I love it, and it looks so real. I was torn between wearing a flower in my hair or going with a headband, but when I found my crystal-pearl headband, there was no going back. The flower will look lovely with your gown and hairstyle.

I'm going to check it out!

I have yet to decide my plan of attack for my hair...thinking birdcage veil and peacock feathers...

I LOVE! So beautiful! It's going to look perfect.
I'm a huge hair flower fan myself. I'm glad I went with that and no veil. It was kind of windy that day and it would have been all up in my face I'm sure.

I'm wearing a veil for the ceremony but I really want a flower for the reception. I'll have to look them up. Yours is very pretty by the way.

Gorgeous! I never thought about how hard it must be for you to get things shipped to you in Canada - good thing for great friends!

The flower goes so well with your coastal elegance theme you have going on :)

I love it. It looks real too! I ordered a couple hair flowers from etsy, I love the look. I think I'm wearing a small veil with the flower, hopefully it doesn't look weird with both.

Wow! That looks so real! My dress has some organza flower appliqués on it. So they're going to send me a few extra that can be attached to a bobby pin or clip of some kind.

Very pretty! I like it a lot!

I have a fake flower clip to put in my hair after I take off my veil for the reception. I think it adds a little something extra.

I found a couple of super cheap rhinestone type bobby pins at a local drug store about a week before the wedding. Wasn't looking for them, just randomly came across them and had my hair stylist throw them in at the end on the wedding day. I wish I would have done a flower now...but again, one of those things that just got away from me :( I know yours will be SO flippin' gorgeous!
