In the meantime though, I have found a hairdresser and an esthetician for wedding day! It boggles my mind how expensive things are here, but such is life on a small island and I will have to suck it up! Despite the price tag, I am very happy with both selections. The hair stylist is great, and I have already set up 2 trials with him. I showed him the pic of what I want, as well as a pic of the dress, and he seems to think it will all work well together. Here's the inspiration picture I showed him, which I am sure you are all fed up of seeing in blogland :)

As for my makeup, I need to set up trial appointments with the make up artist, who also happens to be my MOH's cousin. I met with her and really liked the fact that she will come with me to the church and hang around doing touch ups until our big entrance at dinner! Our location/TTD shoot is the next day (a Sunday) and both were willing to accommodate this and drive the 30 mins to come help me get ready for that (this is already included in the price as standard practice here, just not on Sundays).
Our first trial will start with shades of light blue and gold, emphasizing the eyes, and going light on the rest of the makeup. I'll be sure to take pics to show you ladies as they happen.
How did your hair and makeup trials go? Did you find people easily and were you happy with their services?

I did my own makeup! I didn't have a hair trial but thank goodness it turned out ok! That reminds me, I started writing about that a long time ago. Perhaps I should post it!

I haven't experienced this yet but as my sister is about to make the plunge, we'll all be going through this probably sooner than we think.
What a cute hairstyle! I have been fortunate enough to work with a girl who went to school for hair and make up so she will do my stuff here and then in Vegas my MOH has an uncle who lives out there and does hair! So I am super excited because that's money that can go to other things :) Can't wait to see your trials!
I can't wait to see pictures and hear how your trials go! I loved my hair and makeup trial, and was so happy I did it. It made the wedding day so much less stressful and more fun, since I already knew what to expect. I hope everything works out with your rental, too! It sounds like quite a headache.

I had two hair trials, the first didn't go so well, the second one was better but not great but thankfully I LOVED my hair and makeup on the wedding day. The hair/makeup trials really are important.

Yea, you are so close! Fun stuff to do hair and makeup trials. My trials went well and I loved my makeup on the day of...but the hair ended up nothing like what we had planned as you will see in a future recap :( However, I have a surprise coming up next week about a possible second chance to do it right! :) Glad things are settling in for you.

hair and makeup werent in the budget...I actually didn't know exactly how i was going to do my hair until i was doing it on the wedding day (probably the only thing that stressed me out) but my makeup looked great (i thought!)
