A Party To Remember: Dancing The Night Away Part 1

There are so many pictures of the dancing that I had to break it up into two posts. All I can say is that we had a fantastic time and I would gladly do it all over again anytime! This was by far the party of our lives and our friends and family made it such a special day. The pictures speak for themselves mostly so I'll just let you see for yourselves

A Party To Remember: Best Man's 30th Birthday Surprise

So if you recall, waaaaay back when I was planning this wedding, I asked you ladies for help with our best man's 30th birthday. Kristy over at I'm gonna marry you someday had an awesome suggestion! She recommend that we have 30 girls give him a kiss each! I loved the idea as did Mr. Milk and so aside from cake we asked for 30 female volunteers to come up to the dance floor. Only a couple of people knew what we were up to, so that they could take part and encourage others to come too. We handed the ladies flowers and then Mr. Milk announced that it was our best man's birthday and we wanted to wish him a very happy birthday and a great start to his 30th year with 30 kisses from all these wonderful volunteers, which also included his mom :)

A Party To Remember: Bouquet Toss

And now time for the ladies! Needless to say, and maybe even a little cliche now, the song of choice was Beyonce "All the single ladies" :)

A Party To Remember: Garter Toss

This was one of my favorite moments of the night. I was worried that the guys would shy away and not want to partake in this, but there was such a big group of them around Mr. Milk and I, that it ended up being a blast. Mr. Milk picked Queen's "Another one bites the dust" for the garter toss :)

Maybe not! Mr. Milk and I decided that it would be more fun (for us) if he were to hand it over to his big brother instead :)

A funny story came out of this too. My cousin's little girl (about 4 or 5 years old) and one of the few kids at our wedding, witnessed the whole event and the next day kept asking her mom why Mr. Milk had taken off my underwear! Whenever someone asked her what she'd been up to, she told the the story of how she went to a wedding and the groom took off the brides underwear. Hahaha. Thankfully her parents found this amusing! ;)

A Party To Remember: Father-Daughter, Mother-Son Dance

After our first dance it was time for our dance with our respective parents. We decided to choose one song and do a joint dance, Mr. Milk with his mom and me with my dad. What was funny, was that neither of us could easily find our parents! My dad was at least nearby at a table saying hello to his family, but Mr. Milk's mom was no where to be seen. It took poor Mr. Milk about half the song before he was able to track her down! Ironically he had told her that after our dance he would look for her for theirs! Oh well :)
